How cute are these twig coloured pencils taken from the branches of the Tamarind tree which is common in Thailand and SE Asia. These trees are grown for their fruit and after it has been harvested the branches are cut and left to dry in the sun. They are then drilled and the pencil colour inserted. What a fabulous why to recycle waste products and they are totally eco friendly too. They are totally eco friendly too.
